Our services aim to help physically release trauma from your body, leaving you feeling lighter, less burdened, inspired, and equipped with tools you can use in daily life.

Engagement
We believe that giving back is a foundational pillar of a strong community. We believe in lifting each other up and supporting those in need. Our 'Nourishing the Peace' initiative directs 10% of our sales to scholarship funds specifically for struggling moms. This fund allows them to participate in our classes and benefit from the healing and supportive environment we offer.

Meet Nina
Learning through the school of hard knocks, I have spent the majority of my adult life trying to better myself each day. After my first child in 2011 I went into a deep spiral of post partum depression, self loathing, self sabotage, and procrastination. I greatly struggled with "becoming the change I wished to see in the world". Then I found my breath. I took yoga training, meditation training, specializing in trauma and breathwork. I had some inspiring, uplifting, challenging teachers along the way. Once I started showing up for myself regularly I noticed the shifts, the lasting changes, the ability to respond instead of blindly reacting. The ability to start loving myself despite the fact things weren't "perfect".
I founded Nourishing Peace in the fall of 2022 as a way to foster a sense of connecting deeper within the community. As a way to show my teachers all I learned from them so I could share it into the world as they had. I was noticing the need for a space of connection. A place to nourish oneself, I yearned to create a space where community could come to be held, seen, and supported without judgement.
I teach from a heart centered place of authenticity and truth. I live each day the way I encourage my children and students to. By being authentic in my words, as aware of my self as I can be, by helping where and when I can, by realizing self discipline is the strongest form of self Love.

Founded in Fort St John as a practicing meditation studio in November 2022, Nourishing Peace believes in living a life full of joy, awareness, witnessing, forgiveness, compassion, and gratitude. Awareness and compassion inform and guide our core teachings and practices as we focus on helping clients better connect to themselves and their surroundings. We offer a variety of services, classes, and workshops to help all of our clients achieve healthier minds, bodies, and souls.
The foundation of our studio combines the physical with the inner, emotional, and spiritual journey. By integrating body, breath, movement, and meditative awareness, we promote awareness of the interdependency of all these aspects in personal health and well-being. At Nourishing Peace, we use our extensive training and in-depth understanding of the human body and psyche to teach and cultivate awareness of one’s own practice and life process.
